Project Context
Firethorn is a 120-unit subdivision and golf club built around a championship 27-hole golf course near Lincoln, NE.
The treatment system consists of a primary anaerobic digester, a subsurface flow constructed wetlands, an intermittent sand filter with discharge to a small tributary of Salt Creek. The entire treatment process is gravity powered. Design flow is 51,000 gallons per day.
The system has consistently met the permit requirements in both the summer and winter.
